"هناك عشر خطوات أساسية لتربية الأطفال هى:


أولا: إيمان واعتراف الآباء والأمهات بأن طفلهم ليس آلة دائما يريدوا تحريكه، كما يشاءون من خلال الريموت كنترول دون مراعاة أنه إنسان له احتياجاته ورغباته، والتى يمكنهم أن يجعلوها مدخلاً قوياً من أجل تنمية قدراته وبث الثقة فى نفسه والقدرة على اتخاذ القرار وتحمل المسئولية، وهذا لا يتم إلا من خلال إيمانهم بأن طفلهم له كيان يجب احترامه.

ثانيا: عليهم أن يوضحوا للطفل بعد حدوث الخطأ أن العيب فى الخطأ نفسه الذى أحدثه وليس فيه كإنسان.

ثالثا: لا بد من إجراء حوارات معه بطريقة تتسم بالهدوء حتى يصل للطفل أن الهدف الوحيد من هذا الحوار هو حب والديه له وليس أمر آخر.

رابعا: يجب أن تحب طفلك بحكمة وذكاء حتى يفعلوا ما تريد وما فيه مصلحتهم.


خامسا: هناك مقولة على الآباء والأمهات أن يؤمنوا بها وهى ( أن فم طفلك وعينه أكثر يقظة من عقله) فيتعودوا دائما إهداء طفلهم بهدية حتى لو كانت بقطعة حلوى.

سادسا: علينا أن نترك لأطفالنا بعض الحرية ونجعله يخطأ أمامنا حتى نستطيع أن نوجهه للصواب.

سابعا: الاستمرار على المداعبة واللعب معه، كما كان يفعل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأن من خلال اللعب والنزول لمستواه سوف نستطيع تعليمه كل ما نريد.

ثامنا: التقليل من استخدام ألفاظ التوبيخ وخاصة فى مرحلة المراهقة.

تاسعا: وإذا كنت تريد إصلاح سلوك طفلك، فيجب أن تصلح سلوكك أنت أولا".

"النقطة العاشرة هى الأهم فعلى كل من الزوجين التعامل مع بعضهم البعض باحترام وحب متبادل حتى ينشأ الطفل على الحب والاحترام وعدم استخدام الصوت العالى فى الحوار".
