"قصة للعبرة" : الإمام محمد بن سيرين كان من سادات التابعين ومن أغنيائهم .. ! كانت له ثروة عظيمة من العسل وكان له منها ما يقارب الستمئة برميل من العسل فكان ليس (مليونير بل ملياردير زمانه) وفي يوم من الأيام وجدوا فأرة في أحد البراميل والحكم الشرعي أنه: إذا وقعت الفأرة في الشيء المائع أي السائل كالزيت واللبن والعسل مثلا.. تطرح الفأرة ويرمى السائل جميعه وإذا وقعت في الشيئ الجامد كالسمن مثلا فترمى الفأرة وما حولها فقط.. وينتفع بالباقي فلما وقعت الفأرة في برميل من براميل عسل ابن سيرين استخرجوا الفأرة وطرحوها ثم إنهم نسو في أي البراميل كانت الفأرة فكان من ورع محمد بن سيرين أن رمى ببراميل العسل كلها وكانت مصيبة كبيرة بالنسبة له فقد أفلس بعدما كان من أغنياء الدنيا.. إلا أن ورعه منعه من أن يلقى الله بشبهة فقيل له: إنها لخسارة عظيمة فقال: هذا ذنب انتظرت عقوبته منذ أربعين سنة قالوا وما الذنب ؟؟ قال: عيرت رجلا وقلت له: "يا فقير" سبحان الله العظيم محمد بن سيرين ينتظر عقوبة ذنب منذ أربعين سنة فما بالك بمن يتقلب في الذنوب والمعاصي طيلة حياته قلّت ذنوب القوم فعرفوا من أين أتوا عير رجلا بقوله "يا فقير" فكيف بمن يخوض في أعراض الناس ليل نهار اللهم اغفر لنا وارحمنا م/ن
