قصة عمر والمرأة العجوز

قال طلحة بن عبد الله خرج عمر بن الخطاب ليلة في سواد الليل فتبعته فدخل بيتا فلما أصبحت ذهبت إلى ذلك البيت فإذا عجوز عمياء مقعدة فقلت لها ما بال هذا الرجل يأتيكِ فقالت انه يتعاهدني مدة كذا وكذا يأتيني بما يصلحني ويخرج عنى الأذى ( أي الأوساخ ) فقلت لنفسي ثكلتك أمك يا طلحة أعثرات عمر تتبع.



قصة أخرى عن عمر وإمرأة عجوز

مر عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه على الناس متسترا ليتعرف أخبار رعيته فرأى عجوزا فسلم عليها وقال لها ما فعل عمر؟ قالت : لا جزاه الله عني خيرا . قال : ولم ؟ ، قالت : لأنه - والله - ما نالني من عطائه منذ ولي أمر المؤمنين دينار ولا درهم فقال لها : وما يدري عمر بحالك وأنت في هذا الموضع؟ قالت : سبحان الله ! والله ما ظننت أن أحدا يلي عمل الناس ولا يدري ما بين مشرقها ومغربها. فبكى عمر ثم قال: وا عمراه ! كل أحد أفقه منك حتى العجائز يا عمر. ثم قال لها: يا أمة الله ، بكم تبيعني ظلامتك من عمر؟ فإني أرحمه من النار قالت: لا تهزأ بنا يرحمك الله
فقال لها : لست بهزاء.... ولم يزل بها حتى اشترى ظلامتها بخمسة وعشرين دينارا
وبينما هو كذلك إذ أقبل علي بن أبي طالب وعبدالله بن مسعود رضي الله عنهما فقالا : السلام عليك يا أمير المؤمنين. فوضعت العجوز يدها على رأسها وقالت : واسوأتاه أشتمت أمير المؤمنين في وجهه ! فقال لها عمر : لا بأس عليك رحمك الله، ثم طلب رقعة يكتب فيها فلم يجد ، فقطع قطعة من ثوبه وكتب فيها
" بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم هذا ما اشترى عمر من فلانة ظلامتها منذ ولي إلى يوم كذا وكذا بخمسة وعشرين دينارا ، فما تدعى عند وقوفه في المحشر بين يدي الله تعالى فعمر منه بريء " وشهد على ذلك علي بن أبي طالب وعبدالله بن مسعود ورفع عمر الكتاب إلى ولده وقال( إذا أنا مت فاجعله في كفني ، ألقى به ربي)

قال اسلم مولى عمر بن الخطاب قدم المدينة رفقة من تجار فنزلوا المصلى فقال عمر لعبد الرحمن بن عوف هل لك أن نحرسهم الليلة قال نعم فباتا يحرسانهم ويصليان فسمع عمر بكاء صبي فتوجه نحوه فقال لامه اتق الله تعالى وأحسني إلى صبيك ثم عاد إلى مكانه فسمع بكاءه فعاد إلى أمه فقال لها مثل ذلك ثم عاد مكانه فلما كان آخر الليل سمع بكاء الصبي فأتى إلى أمه فقال لها ويحك انك أُم سوء مالي أرى ابنك لا يقر منذ الليلة من البكاء فقالت يا عبد الله ( وهي لا تعلم انه عمر بن الخطاب ) أني اشغله عن الطعام فيأبى ذلك قال ولما قالت لان عمر لا يفرض النفقة إلا للمفطوم قال وكم عمر ابنك هذا قالت كذا وكذا شهرا فقال ويحك لا تعجليه عن الفطام فلما صلى الصبح وهو لا يستبين للناس قراءته من البكاء قال بؤسا لعمر كم قتل من أولاد المسلمين ثم أمر مناديه فنادى لا تعجلوا صبيانكم عن الفطام فانا نفرض نفقة لكل مولود في الإسلام وكتب بذلك .

قال اسلم مولى عمر بن الخطاب خرجتُ ليلة مع عمر إلى حرة ( وهو المكان الممتلئ بالصخور والذي يصعب المشي عليه ) وأقمنا حتى إذا كنا بصرار فإذا بنار فقال يا اسلم ها هنا ركب قد قصر بهم الليل انطلق بنا إليهم فأتيناهم فإذا امرأة معها صبيان لها وقدر منصوبة على النار وصبيانها يبكون فقال عمر السلام عليكم يا أصحاب الضوء ( وهذا من أدبه رضي الله عنه فلم يحب إن يقول لهم السلام عليكم يا أهل النار ) قالت وعليك السلام قال اادنو قالت ادن أو دع فدنا فقال ما بالكم قالت قصر بنا الليل والبرد قال فما بال هؤلاء الصبية يبكون قالت من الجوع فقال وأي شيء على النار قالت ماء أعللهم به حتى يناموا فقالت الله بيننا وبين عمر فبكى عمر ورجع يهرول إلى دار الدقيق فاخرج عدلا من دقيق وجراب شحم وقال يا اسلم احمله على ظهري فقلت إنا احمله عنك يا أمير المؤمنين فقال أأنت تحمل وزري عني يوم القيامة فحمله على ظهره وانطلقنا إلى المرأة فألقى عن ظهره ووضع من الدقيق في القدر وألقى عليه من الشحم وجعل ينفخ تحت القدر والدخان يتخلل لحيته ساعة ثم انزلها عن النار وقال ااتني بصحفه ( وهو ما يوضع فيه الأكل ) فأتى بها فغرفها ثم تركها بين يدي الصبيان وقال كلوا فأكلوا حتى شبعوا والمرأة تدعوا له وهى لا تعرفه فلم يزل عندهم حتى نام الصغار ثم أوصى لهم بنفقة وانصرف ثم اقبل علي فقال يا اسلم الجوع الذي أسهرهم وأبكاهم.
