يحكى ان قوما ً جاءهم من ينذرهم بقدوم غاره من قبيله معاديه فأخلوا مكانهم ليلا ً واخذوا اموالهم

وحلالهم معهم وتركوا من ورائهم رجلين اثنين من رجال القبيله احدهم اعمى والآخر مقعد

على ان يعودوا اليهم في وقت ٍ آخر وفي الصباح اتفق الأعمى والمحرّول على ان يقوم الأعمى بحمل

المقعد والمقعد يدّله الطريق ويتبعان اثر القبيله وفي الطريق شاهد المقعد ارنبا ً فطلب من

الأعمى ان ينّزله قريبا ً من جحرها واستطاع بالفعل ان يسد الجحر ويمسك بها فجمعا الحطب وأوقدا

النار ورميا الأرنب بداخل النار وحينما نضجت لمح المقعد ان ثعبانا ً كان ملتويا ً عل الأرنب وكان

مشويا ً هو الآخر فأكل من لحم الأرنب واعطى الثعبان للأعمى دون ان يخبره بشئ فلما انتهى

الأعمى من الأكل اخذ يمسح وجهه ويديه بالدهن وكما هو معروف عن الثعبان كثرة الدهن الذي

بداخل جسمه فشاء الله ان يجعل في ذلك شفاء لعين الأعمى فصاح فرحا ً ابشرك لقد ابصرت فقال

له صاحبه انا السبب فلو لم اعطيك الثعبان مااستطعت ان ترى فرد عليه بل استأثرت بلحم الأرنب
